Here's the first post of a series showcasing my favourite Disney outfits. As I mentionned in my very first post, Disney changed my life fashion wise. It helped me assert myself and forget about people's opinions when it comes to clothing. Well, I'm still lacking a lot when it comes to self-confidence, but I feel like I'm on the right track. At first I only wanted to dress up for Disneyland Paris, as I wanted to honour the gorgeous surroundings I was in. And then I figured, why not bring a little bit of magic to myself, and maybe others, on a daily basis. I do not actually have that many pieces of clothing as one might think, as I need to fall in love with every single item I buy. This was the case for this amazing skirt, whose very special feature is that it lights up thanks to dozens of LED lights hidden below the main skirt. I thought I would never get that skirt, as it is sold by Thinkgeek, and it could not be shipped to France. Fortunately, one of my dearest friends was heading over to the US, so I took the chance and asked her to bring it back for me.And I'm so lucky I did. This outfit is inspired by Disneyland Paris' 25th anniversary theme, "It's time to sparkle", in which blue and stars steal the show. The ears are officials from Disneyland California, the top comes from British brand TFNC and the shoes are a combination of a La Redoute pair and Bobbies accessory. I took about 50 pics of this outfit, but like most insecure persons, I hate my face in most of them, so here are the few I actually like. Some of you might think, why the hell are you posting pics your face if you're that insecure? Well, I figured showing myself like this could actually help me feel get used to my appearance and fell better about it. Hopefully it does! Obviously, the lights only show at night or when the lighting is a bit dim, so daylight pics do not actually do justice to the skirt. But a photo shoot requires some good lighting, so here's just a peak of the lit up skirt from a previous day (because I basically wear this skirt every two Disney days now). Finally, I got ot meet Belle and she loved my skirt so much she asked for a little twirl. It may not be a competition but I think the ThinkGeek version might be a little more twirl worthy... maybe too much actually!
